I didn’t enjoy this one as much as books 1 & 2, and honestly it’s mostly because of Scott haha. He’s this random af character that is introduced without really being introduced. This book opens and the story picks up a month after book 2 ends and we learn MK went to Aspen and met Scott so now he’s a part of our storyline. He continued to be an annoying af character with no development and I just hated him haha.

I did like that we got some new information on MKs stalker/attempted killer and feel like we’re finally making some progression on this plot line.

max steele owns my heart. he's honestly shooting his way to the top of the 2022 book boyfriends list. but... archer?!?! also somehow making his way to the top. soft archer is everything to me, i adore him. i want kodiak to have more of an intense storyline, tho. it feels like he's kinda just a fourth wheel sometimes. i also think there should have been a liiiiittle bit more grovelling in this but that's just me, probably. also mk needs to stop being so dense lol it's not cute at all. this woman wouldn't see thee red flags if they were wrapped around steele's dick honestly.

BUT I LOVE THIS SERIES. definitely one i'm going to have to revisit multiple times.

TWs: ref to rape, blood, guns, violence, gore, ref to abortion, emotional abuse, gang violence, gunshot wounds, murder, car accident, pregnancy, hospitalisation, stalking, dubcon, fire, alcohol consumption

Themes/rep/tropes: touch my girl I'll kill you, i see how you look at them, second chance, reverse harem, mma fighter, marriage of convenience, protective possessive alpha men

Again, I loved this! I don’t have a lot to say so here are some quotes:

„No matter what else was going on, no matter how much unresolved bullshit there was between us, he was still there for me“

„I know that I fucked up, and I know that I hurt you, but I can't change the past. All I can do is change the choices I make in the future and hope that maybe one day it'll be enough to earn forgiveness“

„I push people away because being close to me means painting a target on your back.“

„You're my whole world, Kate. […] You’re my reason for breathing, and I'll personally slit the throats of anyone who tries to take you away from me.“

Soo..no matter the character development of Archer I still don’t forgive him manhandling and disrespecting MK. Yes, I do love him now but he still isn’t forgiven for all of that unnecessary behavior (sorry not sorry).

After that horrifying cliffhanger I can’t think about more to say about this book except for it being just as good as the first ones so I’m gonna run for the next book in hopes of some much needed clarification!
