Let me start with this is EXACTLY why I will not use a taxi! ;)
I loved this book, my favorite one in the Alex Cross series so far. I thought that the pace of it was great, it picked up right away and never let down. Death is the killer you love to hate. The only thing I disliked about this book is how the situation with Christine just kind of lingers in the background. I feel like there should have been more investigation, more info, ....just more than what was given. I absolutely love Alex Cross!

"Detective Alex Cross is back-and he's in love. But his happiness is threatened by a series of chilling murders in Washington, D.C., murders with a pattern so twisted they leave investigators reeling. Cross's pursuit of the killer produces a suspect, a British diplomat named Geoffrey Shafer. But proving he's the murderer becomes a potentially deadly task. As Shafer engages in a brilliant series of surprising countermoves, Alex and his fiancee become hopelessly entangled with the most memorable nemesis Cross has ever faced." (From Amazon)

I liked this suspenseful novel.

While Patterson's writing at times is unintentionally comical, he spins a tight mystery which I couldn't put down. I enjoyed a trip back in time (only 20 years) to AOL chatrooms, pay phones and Rod Strickland. The main character Alex Cross and his sidekick Sampson are extremely likeable and you can't help but root for them.
