Picked up a copy on sale. Slightly entertaining but not really engaging.

i LOVE the annotations from the various jedi, it's so fun to see. i also love how the book addressed so much about the structure of the jedi order. wild.

The margin notes remind me of Harry Potter's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Quite amusing, and makes you wonder how several generations of Jedis shared one heavily-doodled book.

I particularly loved the lightsaber-centered and Marks of Contact chapters. Those chapters jumped around a bit, though.

Even if your only experience with Star Wars are the six movies, you can still read this book and not feel too lost. I haven't read any of the novels or watched Clone Wars, but I still enjoyed this.

An amazing companion to the Star Wars Universe, it gives so much information about things that fans might not normally consider i.e. what happens to the Jedi who fail their trials? What makes it even more special is the wonderful and often hilarious notes by characters we all know and love. It really does make you feel like it has been handed down from Master to Padawan, and finally falling into Luke's hands.

Tedious at times but a fun look into the life of a jedi. The added comments are silly but cute. There's no way palpatine would take the time to add comments to a Jedi tome. I always wanted to learn about the trials and other aspect of apprenticeship. Though I would've preferred it in a narrative.
