I adored both of the anime series growing up, so it was a no brainer for me to pick up the manga now that I've started seriously reading again. Man am I glad I did so. It is so much better than I could've ever imagined.

Full Metal Alchemist en verdad es un manga que me sorprendió para bien. Lo empecé a leer sin muchas expectativas y terminé maravillada de lo interesante de la trama y los temas que explora: desde la crueldad humana en experimentos científicos, hasta la corrupción de las grandes religiones o la explotación laboral. De por sí el protagonista esconde una historia muy oscura, habiendo perdido partes de sí y a su hermano por intentar recuperar a su madre.
Aún tengo mucho que conocer sobre este mundo y su historia, además de terminar de agarrarle cariño a los personajes, que de por sí siento que aún me falta un poco; pero, sin duda, se puede decir que este fue un buen comienzo.

This was a really great first volume of manga and I am so excited to go onto the next in the series.
I was already very familiar with this story from watching both versions of the anime more times than I can count but it is a great story with a fun start and lots of intrigue. It was really cool to see Arakawa's original art and story. I loved the art in this book and the fun humour some of which wasn't featured in the anime.
I definitely recommend this book both for fans of the anime and people new to the story.
