Seducing Cinderella, by Gina L. Maxwell

This book wasn't too bad! Reid's character was a bit out of place as an MMA fighter, but if you look at him as a man that was pushed into a career not of his choosing and making the best of it, it fits a bit better. Lucie was the geeky and gangly heroine, and she came across very believable. Her best friend was a bit annoying, but not maddeningly so. It was an interesting read and I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

It has been a while since I've read a sports romance, and I really enjoyed this one. Seducing Cinderella is equal parts sweet and spicy. Reid is an MMA fighter; while Lucie is a Physical Therapist. These two have such good chemistry and are clearly very comfortable with each other right off the bat.
What I really loved about this book is that BOTH characters learned to love themselves for who they are. In the beginning, they saw themselves one way, but throughout the book they accepted all the different parts of themselves and were able to accept it bc the other person made them see the truth.
Unfortunately, for me this book was a bit predictable. I knew from the first chapter where this book was headed. Depending on how you look at it, this could be a pro or con.
Read if you like:
+ Sports (MMA) Romance
+ Brother's Best Friend
+ Friends to Lovers
+ Learning to Love- She needs to learn how to seduce another man she wants, and he is going to teach her

Honestly... this was okay. I didn’t connect with either character... the chemistry didn’t make me feel anything. And smut should make me feel something. Anything. Doesn’t even have to be a good feeling! Just something. Well, I got nothing from this.

This feels like it’d be in the “Plain Jane” romance starter pack though. And that’s not for me.

Note: I also want to note that I think this is the first time (that I remember at least) that I've read about DOUBLE THUMB PENETRATION.

I picked this for one of my challenges in my reading group. I figured it be a fun place to start to tackle some of the lists that I have created for myself. I just realized however that it is a trilogy from what it looks like so I will have to hunt amazon down to get the rest. I loved it

There’s definitely chemistry and lots of steamy smexy times. I like the characters, and this is one of my favorite tropes, but for some reason I didn’t get quite as pulled in with this one. It’s a good read, but could’ve used more depth.

This heroine was insanely boring, with no real personality. And the way the hero talked to her was crying at best.
