Very interesting story, eerie and disturbing. Everything a gothic novel should be. It won't haunt you too much.

Disappointed. Maybe I was expecting too much after I heard raves on several podcasts/blogs. I did enjoy it, and thought it had a great gothic mystery feel to it. However, I just wasn't satisfied with how the story played out. Maybe, as a mom of twins, I had trouble getting into the 'mythical bond of twins' thing. I also thought that the narrator's story wasn't fleshed out as well as it could have been. An enjoyable read but not earth-shattering.

This book kept me guessing until he very end. The authors storytelling was mesmerizing. I highly recommend this book

I don't know whether to call it a mystery or a ghost story (as the cover suggests) or the journey of a woman trying to understand herelf better. But it was fantastic. I kept slowing myself down to savour some of the language used in her writing. Very enjoyable, a GREAT book club book!

This was a very different book. There are many questions throughout, and I still have them at the end. I enjoyed this book, but it was slow moving at the beginning. If you like a book with tons of plot twists, questions, intrigue, and innuendos then this is the book for you.

Great mystery and a great read. Story of a woman who is asked to write the memoirs of a famous, illusive author. Her tale is one filled with tragedy and ghosts.

Loved the book,....perfect read for a long weekend.

I loved this book. The story telling is excellent and different. It was wonderfully fantastical. The twin aspects was interesting. It had twists and turns I barely was able to predict which is commendable since I always figure everything out. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I don't know if any of her other books are good but I will be checking them out.
