The start was okay, although I wasn't getting too into it. But I did begin to enjoy it a lot about half way through.

Not a bad book. There were some points when the arguments got really repetitive and boring, but otherwise the plot was pretty solid. Looking forward to reading the third and hopefully completing the series.

Listened to this on my commute. Silly and sweet, just what I wanted.

Same kinds of pros and cons as the first book.

Not as entertaining as the first book. It had a few good discussions about God and fate and free will, and a couple of good action scenes. It lacked the emotional arc of the first book, and the ending felt anticlimactic. The agency given to female characters in the first book was turned on its side and reduced to "women, am I right?" and rote male/female relationship stereotypes. Here is hoping book 3 is better!
