This was such a captivating novella! I was hooked the whole time and I’m dying to read more about this world and The Pale Dreamers story! It was short, but it filled me with joy reading it

“I am Paige Mahoney. I am the Pale Dreamer.”

The Pale Dreamer is a novella set three years before the events taking place on The Bone Season. In this prequel, we have the opportunity to read the mission that led Paige to become Jaxon Hall’s mollisher. It’s an entertaining and short novella recommended for lovers of the series that gives the reader a better understanding of how the voyant underground and the syndicate work.

“Now I was free to be what I pleased.”

A good little insight into Paige's life before the events of The Bone Season. Quite interesting and a fun story. It's worth a read if you like the series but having only read The Bone Season so far I don't think it's a necessary read plot wise.

What a great start to the Bone Season series. I've gotten to know the characters a bit through this novella, and have a sense of the world. I'm excited to continue. If there's even a hint of  found family I will be quite satisfied.
