This was such a cute book! Readers first met Jabari when he was learning how to jump. Now he's progressed to learning how to create his own brand of magic with his little sister to help him. I loved the way his father explained the series of tries most people have when they are in the creative process. I love Jabari's tenacity and courage to try, try, and try again.

Great illustrations in the book. Teaches children that it is okay to ask for help. It is a very good book to have in the classroom.

I loved Jabari Jumps. This one, not so much. The illustrations were a bit off to me, and I don't know, it just didn't have that "je ne sais quoi" that Jabari Jumps had.

I hope there are even more books about Jabari - this was really great, and such a good companion to Jabari Jumps!

Jabari wants to build flying machine. Little sister wants to help, but Jabari's convinced he can do it all on his own. After some frustrating setbacks, is Jabari open to accepting some help?

This is a good story for any kids who struggle with needing to get things perfect, with some good strategies for dealing with the frustration that happens when things don't work out the first time around.
