It would have been nice to compare this with Virginia Woolf's To the Lighthouse or Cassandra Wolf's Cassandra as it questions a lot ideas associated to feminity and shows an identity crisis by the time Elsa prefers to live in her world of denial.
I regret having to read it so rushedly because also the intertextualities which are really obvious give way to an interesting analysis (Kafka and Homer, respectively)
