Whilst Misadventures with My Roommate is not my first Elizabeth Hayley novel, it is certainly my favourite.

As it was fresh, funny, well paced, charming and very enjoyable to read. Not to mention, the two main characters were very likable. Especially Blake, who was not only eccentric, but very charismatic; and for me Gavin countered those eccentricities perfectly. And I loved how their relationship developed from coworkers to roommates to lovers.

And with the addition of some great secondary characters. Including Blakes friend Celeste. This particular Misadventures story was definitely worth reading. Therefore, I would happily recommend it to others. Especially if you're in the mood for a fun and light hearted romance.

I really loved Blake’s character. She was unapologetic and straightforward. Sometimes it’s described in a way that made me wonder if she was neurodivergent, and then sometimes it felt like her past was why she has no filter. It didn’t give me a strong sense of who Blake was.
Her bestie Celeste was just as funny.
Gavin had the potential to smoulder, but their relationship didn’t lack for the absence of this.

3.5 stars!

What a speed bump in one of my favorite series. I had lots of expectations on this one, but it was quite boring at places. The last pages were good, but there was nothing called 'strong story line'.

May be thats why. I would definitely continue the series though.

I was giving an ARC copy for my honest opinion

HOLY MOLY batman! This book had me laughing from the very first chapter.. The banter between Blake and Gavin was AH MAZING. Like if you love the Gilmore Girls you will absolutely love the banter between these two. This is one that felt just natural and organic nothing felt rushed or fakes. I truly loved it!!!

While Misadventures with My Roommate is part of the "Misadventures" series, it can definitely be read as a standalone. This was my first Elizabeth Hayley book, but it certainly won't be my last.
If you're a fan of roomies-to-lovers, this is the book for you. Full of humor, steamy romance, and two characters that are equally lovable.
Overall this was a good new adult/contemporary romance. I had a great time reading it and will be looking out for more books by this author.
