not my normal style but I loved it. It was a great and fast lecture. I should probably read the whole saga

[Spoilers] That ending solidified my rating of two stars. I’m really sick of YA books taking the same route of “family is important” yet Lara Jean’s sister, Margot, is nothing but judgemental throughout the entire book. And Margot’s ex-boyfriend Josh is incredibly controlling toward Lara Jean (and even forcefully kissed her), but in the end, they’re miraculously friends again. There are some people you need to cut out of your life. Josh and Margot are a couple of those people. These same tropes and dramatic plot-lines are repeated over and over in YA. It’s tired at this point.

Read this because I was in the mood for something fun and romantic and it definitely left me satisfied. I feel like this is the kind of book I can enjoy more after the movie. I haven't read YA romance in so long and this was fun. A really quick read which was always fun. For something that wasn't my favourite genre, I'm surprised I enjoyed it!
