I know I have reviewed this... like 3 times already. It's not good enough to keep writing about. Better than the first one, but not as good as the third one (so far). Usually, I like meeting new characters best, so liking a sequel better than the first book is really saying something.

Not surprisingly, this story shot me point blank! Thrilling and 100% pure Alex Rider awesome-ness!

Young Adult adventure. Second in the series. Fast. Fun. Unbelievable. And every once in a while I need that sort of superhero kind of blast of "it-will-all-turn-out-in-the-end" frivolity. Unfortunately, this one ends with a cliffhanger. Now, seems I'll have to read #3.

A very good reread. Pretty sure I’ve memorised this book at this point, having read the book, graphic novel, and watched the show several times.

But it still kept me engaged, so kudos.

My Rating Scale
* terrible
**mostly flawed but some good parts,
***satisfying book for the genre
****exceptional book but some flaws,
***** I LOVED it

Pretty high death count for a kids book but I enjoyed it more than the first one. This seems like a series that could go too dark quickly so I feel like I have to preview each one for my 12 year old.
