It was fascinating to read about a character that is as mentally strong as Angrboda — I felt as if I had to cry and rage in her stead.

Angrboda, burnt 3 times and yet to die, retreats to a cave in the woods. There she meets Loki and lives on the periphery of the Gods antics.
A beautiful re-interpretation of Norse myths! I knew very little about any of the detail of any of the characters or stories. A story full of complex characters who don't always make the right decisions and are manipulated by the Gods.
This will inevitably be compared to Circe by Madeline Miller and while the basis of the story is fairly similar the writing style is very different!

I think this is going to be one of my favorite read’s of the year. A reimagining of Nordic mythology and a really unique story. I loved it.
