--- "Your breast is the only organ in your body that you are not born with.  You come into the world with a nipple and lots of potential."  - Dr. Susan Love

I found this book on the too read suggestions on Goodreads.

What a fun little factful nonfiction book for kids.  I love excellent puns and fun and this has them in abundance.  I learned something too.  There is a blue footed booby in this book as the cover suggests.   Example, all bobbies come in pairs except the possum, they have 13 bobbies.

I've always heard of the Grand Teton Mountains, but only the Grand Teton.  There are three, the other two are the Middle Teton and South Teton.  I never thought to look it up.  In China, Slang for bobbies is "mountain peaks".

I love the ending for the book.  She writes:  "The End (Butt, that's another book.)  haha.  I hope there's another book.  This reminds me of Everyone Poops.

Fun and informative, what more can you ask fun, well, more puns always.   I think my Niece and Nephew both would have loved this book.  I can hear them laughing in my head about it and reading certain parts over.  They would probably still laugh with this one, but they wouldn't sit down to read a picture book now.

I chuckled at the title but honestly it was a very fun, informative book.

What I thought was amazing was that on the final pages there are drawings of different boobies. The amazing part was that it included breast tissue scars that are left from top surgery.

We LOVE to see it.

I requested this, fully thinking it was about blue-footed boobies. I was delighted to find that it is, in fact, all about actual boobies! I can't use it for storytime, but it brought me much joy.

I laughed the whole way through it. And it was annoying to listen to my mom reading it. But it was funny. I learned about some animals having lots of boobies. Opossums have THIRTEEN boobies. (E. 8 years old)

Borsten. Door: Bette Westera. Illustraties door: Nancy Vo.

Hoe tof!?

I received an e-galley of Boobies by Nancy Vo from Groundwood Books in exchange for an honest review.

Boobies is such a fun and informative book about boobies. It share information with readers about this part of the body that belongs to all mammals. Such fun facts were shared - how many different mammals may possess them and the purpose and function of them. All in all, it's such a great book about a topic that is often seen as taboo in our society and presents them as a common yet interesting and important body part.
