Great recipes to try when you’re in the mood for something more than just a regular weeknight meal.

One of my favorite cookbooks. Not only are the recipes great but so is the commentary!

This celebrity cookbook is even better than Kris Jenner's. I am actually going to buy this.

This is the most fun I've ever had reading a cookbook. Chrissy Teigen is hilarious and her recipes are delightful. I haven't tried any yet (I prefer to read about food and eat it, rather than make it) but when I finally have some free time, this will actually get me into the kitchen.

The Angle: This is one of Chrissy Teigen’s cookbooks. Obviously, she is super famous, and she’s also a huge foodie. This is a collection of recipes she likes to make at home.

Difficulty Level: This is definitely a cookbook that’s accessible to anyone. The more complicated recipes are even in their own section to keep them separate. And the majority of the ingredients are ones you’ll already have on hand or can easily pick up at the store.

Recipe Overview: There’s a lot of variety here. There are a good number of Asian recipes, but also a good number of what I would describe as more American recipes. No matter which one you choose, though, there’s going to be a ton of flavor.

Final Thoughts: It’s probably odd to say a cookbook is hilarious, but this one is. Chrissy Teigen has an amazing sense of humor, and it comes through in her recipe descriptions. It’s like sitting in her kitchen while she tells you stories about whatever she happens to be making.

One day I'll actually cook recipes from cookbooks, but today is not that day. Instead, I'll continue reading them straight, as I really appreciate those with a sense of humor and personality sprinkled amongst the food, and Cravings has that in spades. Though definitely written with [a:Adeena Sussman|553059|Adeena Sussman|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png] for recipe ideas, the flavor text introducing the recipes is very much Teigen, and I really appreciate the personal flair as it does sound like what a good friend would say, sharing a recipe. The recipes themselves were easy to follow, and I didn't see any intimidating techniques... I did spy a few things where suggested marinating time could be 12-24 hours but wasn't reflected in prep, which indicated the minimum, but that's a minor quibble.

The photography is excellent.

I also learned via googling an offhand mention to living in Idaho that Chrissy lived in my hometown for a time, so our childhoods may have overlapped!

Best cookbook ever. I actually want to make a majority of these recipes. I have tried several and they are all delicious. Bonus: Chrissy's introductions are hysterical.
