The story is interesting and the interactions between the two leading characters can be very sweet. Kitagawa is constantly encouraging Gojo to not only continue to enjoy his interests, but to not be ashamed of them and be unapologetically himself. I really enjoy the idea of a cosplay-loving girl pairing up with an awkward guy who loves to sew doll clothes.

This book was definitely heavy on the fanservice, and the male lead falls too hard into that “overly freaked out over a woman’s attention” stereotype. Does he seriously have to stammer fifteen times in one sentence EVERY single time they interact? It gets a bit annoying after a while and I found myself skipping over chunks of his dialogue to bypass those moments.

Wakana Gojou keeps to himself till he unintentionally puts himself into Marin Kitagawa's path. Finding that he can sew she ropes him into making a cosplay costume for her to wear to events. Raised to make traditional dolls has made him have a gift for details and skilled with making clothes comes naturally. Together they find an unlikely friendship bonding over the art of cosplay which is only just the beginning.

My bestie picked out this series for us to read together I didn't know anything about it before we started it but quickly turned into a fan. I love the story it's sweet each installment is loaded with new characters and new cosplay adventures. It's a very addicting series I ended up reading three volumes in a row only stopping to have to do real life stuff. My Dress-Up Darling is an adorable story with cute art. I loved every moment. Can't wait to finish the series and watch the anime next.

This is actually really sweet, cute and very funny. Lots of moments where the mangas art is ‘pg-13’ but the. The reaction of the guys is very funny. Loved the story!

This is a cute start to a romance story, with some fanservice/smut moments.

My Dress-up Darling at it's core is about our protagonist and the love interest connecting over shared interest and respect, which I loved. There is some classic, quiet "loser" meets and falls for hot popular girl with quirky interest vibes here, but honestly I didn't care.

The tone is comedic and self-aware of what it is doing, which works pretty well. I loved the artstyle, particularly the use of outfits throughout the series.

Overall, this first volume was a lot of fun and I will be reading further!

The story is really cute! I adore Wacchan so much! But I'm not really comfortable with fanservice—so, that's the only thing that's keeping me from giving it a five-star. But I get it, totes necessary for seinen (manga for men) readers, right?

But I'll continue to keep reading because I find them so adorable together! I just really like shy guy-confident girl couples! Just like Horimiya, which I really loved! So, overlooking the fanservice, I think the plot of this seinen is really nice. I can't wait to see how Wacchan will deal with the new kind of world opened for him by Marin. I want to see him grow up, and get out of that comfort zone of his.

And yes, the art is so great! I love how the author drew Marin and Wacchan's characters! I felt weird calling Wacchan Gojou-kun though. I can't help but think about Gojo from JJK! Haha!
