I’d you think you want to read this book, don’t.
Everyone in Portugal is forced to read this in school, and although it’s not the worst, you should save yourself the time.

Our narrator spends more time describing the furniture of the mc house than anything else. PAGES. And then he does the same thing with his office, and with his lovers house, and with a couple of women’s boobs.

(Spoiler)
I think the way he describes Gouvarinhos is completely repulsive and disgusting. He criticises her so much on how disgusting she is and then goes right ahead and has sex with her. Isn’t it more disgusting to whillingly fornicate with something that repulses you ??? It thought it was so rude of him !
(End spoiler)

In conclusion, this book is confusing, has too many characters whose names I couldn’t remember; was weird about women; had too many useless details; had like a couple of good and interesting scenes in a whole book.

Goodbye and good luck dear reader….
