Just so lovely! Thankful for books like this that discuss the heaviness of mental health alongside the beauty of life.

I've always felt at home in the world of books, but I don't know if I've ever felt as seen as I have while reading Adelaide.

Her story felt so familiar.

I'm incredibly grateful for the honesty and trust Wheeler offered her readers in this beautiful story.

Every word was personally relatable for me (& painfully so) (ok, but not the part about living in London) I can’t explain how much this book shook me to my core & gave me chills. I adore this book so much. Adelaide, I love you

“There are parts of our hearts we give away. Not lend, but sacrifice entirely. And there are some people to whom we give these pieces, knowing we’ll never really get them back.”

Entered the last year of my 20s reading this and reflecting on the last decade, simultaneously wanting to slap Adelaide and give her a hug. This is one of the most stunning (and painful) debut novels I’ve ever read, and I can’t wait for Genevieve Wheeler’s next book. Except that I can wait because I need 4-6 weeks to recover.
