The first of 3 part series. This book is quite short but it packs a wallop. This book has everything angst, love, laughter and a cliffhanger!

Sofie James, a set designer, is visiting Boston to complete a job at a local theatre. She is also hoping to pad her CV so she can take on the all boys club of set design in Hollywood. Sofie is a gorgeous woman who has had her share of affairs but has yet to fall in love. Sofie knows her life is pretty nomadic so there is no white picket fence on her immediate horizon. With the added bonus of having an assistant, she gets the chance to explore Boston and she quickly learns her favourite places to go for breakfast, a coffee and the tranquil Frog park to people watch.

Drake Blaxton, architect, is happy with his job and has the occasional fling. He also is just not committed to a permanent partner. He is handsome but pretty oblivious to this. He is very wealthy, and collects beautiful buildings.

They are admiring one another from afar at frog park, each wary of approaching the other. One day they are on the same path and the adventure begins! Much happens in the short time that Sofie is in Boston. And after several weeks they are essentially living together, a major turnaround for both of them.

This book is beautifully written and the emotions described are so realistic. You come away feeling like Sofie and Drake are real people!

This was my first Fifi Flowers novel but it won't be my last!
