Very insightful, the majority of content is still relevant to how most countries conduct warfare today. Great choice for history and military buffs.

I probably lack the direct conflict and/or creativity to apply this to my life, but it was an interesting read

insightful look at the history of war
easy to read for anyone, which I appreciate
much of it feels like common sense, but perhaps this was revolutionary back then

Clearly I’m not very philosophical, because the point of this book was lost on me. I was encouraged to read this by a coworker who was trying to explain perspective of management. It was difficult for me to find the relevance to business leadership. There were a few points where I could see a correlation, but they were common sense. I’m also a pacifist, so the war aspect doesn’t appeal to me. That said, I felt like the major points were all common sense.

While this book did offer some insightful gems into strategy, it was also a short read, and I feel like I need far more of a background in tactics and strategy to truly understand it. or perhaps I just need more current examples. It was still a helpful read though.
