Lyrical, twining the analytical rims of philosophy to the visceral roots, Beauty is beautiful. Taken in sips and sprints, it provides a necessary haven for the heart in a world tyranized by the mind.

I wanted so desperately to love this book. But I didn’t. For no particular reason or fault of the obviously wonderful author. It simply was not my cup of tea.

Either John O’Donohue knew everything or he was full of it. Either way, these big ideas are beautiful.

Note: The audio version is an audio lecture that stems from the ideas in the book rather than a true audiobook where the text is narrated to you.

Still enjoyable. I love John O'Donohue.

Lovely meditation on the links between the sacred and beauty in all its myriad forms. A discourse on holiness from the heart of a poet.

One of my all time favorite authors and human beings. John O'Donohue is a poet, philosopher, and former priest with so many gifts. Everything he writes is poetry. I have this book both in paperback and the audio from it as they feel like different experiences. This is a book I will read and listen to again and again

My first time reading this was in 2012 and I just finished re-reading it. I loved how it felt new all over again. Definitely a book you can pick up at different points of your life and get something totally new from.
