3.5 stars ✨ This was mostly an average book. What I would call a filler book. I wasn’t expecting it to be a 5 star and it wasn’t, it was just a nice palette cleanser.

I felt very disconnected from our main characters, but to be honest, they weren’t really fleshed out properly so it’s not surprising. Because of this (and the MMC) Beckham and and Lennon’s relationship felt entirely lust based, despite them having a deep history. Speaking of their history, it was mentioned quite a lot but there were no flashback scenes so I couldn’t really believe that they were truly in love. Jumping off of the back of this, side characters, who were again discussed a lot and seemed to have a big part to play in the plot, only showed up once or twice so it was a little anticlimactic. Because this book was set over a pregnancy, there was obviously going to be time jumps, but there was never a natural or clear way that it was done- one minute it was February, the next May. The second half of the book dragged, which was annoying because I sped through the first half. The last few chapters really weren’t needed, the author could’ve just made the epilogue a little longer. Lastly, there was some super weird phrasing and wording in this book. I kid you not………’pet sperm’

I had a pretty good time reading this! The pace and writing were great, and I loved the plot!
Can't say I connected a lot with the MCs, but I still had a fun time! Can't say Beckham impressed me, and Lennon was okay, but she pissed me off at times.
The ending was very cute, though🥰

Review: Make no mistake…this book will have you in a chokehold.

“Pretty Little Mistake” follows Lennon Wells and Beckham Sullivan who are forced to work together on a project despite the wounds they still nurse from their failed relationship. But the two can’t ignore their lingering attraction for each other and when one sizzling night leaves Lennon pregnant, they become a constant in each other’s lives whether they like it or not…and they just might be starting to.

I picked up this book after stumbling across the author’s TikTok teasers and it lived up to all my expectations! I loved every single page. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—it isn’t easy to execute the unexpected pregnancy trope. Oftentimes, books featuring this trope depict two strangers starting a relationship based solely on the fact that they are having a child together, which isn’t a great idea when you really think about it. That isn’t the case in this book. Lennon and Beckham have history and their circumstances only give them a second chance to reconnect and find they’re happily ever after.

Lennon and Beckham’s chemistry is palpable. Their playful banter is endlessly entertaining and their actions speak volumes for how deeply they care for each other. I appreciated how they were both there to support each other as they worked through their respective generational trauma without overstepping.
