It's like the 1902 version of the Secret. This particular narrator is perfect. The audio version is less than 56 minutes, and so I'm listening a second time. No new, Earth-shattering revelations for me personally, but it is inspirational and I like the way it flows.

Mediocre self help. I agree with some of his sayings but the majority of his content has no nuance.

I can't be biased about this book. I am not sure if it's because I grabbed it when I needed guidance and self-introspection or if it is well written.
Nonetheless, it's a beautiful and powerful collection of ideas and narratives that help the reader, it helped me, to improve their discourse.

trite and outdated advice. Feel good self help that reminds me of cotton candy. It'll make you feel a bit better, but there's little substance.

Your thoughts determine your life. Which isn't terrible advice, except that with modern neuroscience we have found that the mind-body connection is more of a feedback loop than a one way telegram. And the core idea of controlling your thoughts runs counter to my best understanding of how my mind works. Now, I'll be the first to admit I'm probably flat out wrong in understanding of how my mind works. But I hopefully won't be using too much of this drivel to make sense of the world.
