This was a book of my mother's that she had to read when she was in college in the 70s. There is obviously some out dated stuff in here but overall the thoughts outlined in each of the works were pertinent to any time a divorce is happening. One of the most interesting chapters was discussing the need for family law to be a specialty....thank goodness that has come true. The book focuses on the ex spouses over the children which is often put on the back burner during divorce. It is a sad time but it doesn't have to be earth shattering. I especially enjoyed the thoughts about divorce reform. We cannot force people to be in an unhappy marriage. Why do we have such strong beliefs on keeping a marriage together? When it was published this book was ahead of it's time!
