I had very mixed feelings about this novel.

On the one hand, it was compelling enough to drive me onwards, but on the other there was very little progression until the last third when it all seemed to come in one long rush.
Some of the 'twists' I had already guessed way way before we even had a sniff which took some of the "oooh" out of the book.

I really liked it as usual with her books! But I was able to predict more in this one than I ever have in any of her previous books. But excited for the next book!

Lisa doesn’t disappoint!! I also love that all of her books feel different but all are thrilling in their own ways. Didn’t really see this ending coming which is always a plus.

Quick page turner (what's the audible equivalent?) perfect for a long drive along across CA. It kept me going and I liked a couple of the twists at the end.

Her novels are fun and you're probably likely to forget the plot within a week but they are good entertainment. This one involves a family that is kidnapped, and goes back and forth between them and the cops trying to find them. One of those stories where everyone has a secret and a motive, so there are lots of good red herrings floating around.

This was detailed and a very slow read. Not one of her better books in my opinion.

This was very suspenseful. A whole family disappears one Friday night and the whole story unfolds through a detective and the mothers journal. Really good.

Rated PG-14 Lots of swearing if you aren't accustomed to that.

This was my first Lisa Gardner book. For me it was a bit slow paced, with repetitions, but i enjoyed reading it!
