Interesting

**Audiobook review **
*****Major trigger warning: mention of child SA*****

Ruin started off with a bang, literally with pew pews lol. There was slight action in the beginning and then it kind of mellowed out in my opinion. Cain and Pheonix had some very deep conversations mixed with a few spicy scenes.

Lance and Lacy did a great job narrating, and the sound effects for some parts? Mmm top notch!

Overall pretty interesting and I'm curious as to what the future has in store for those two.

What a ride!

Not sure what I think considering the intensity that Cain/Cole feels coming after two days of "connecting" with Phoenix.

There are some questions I wonder about that I would have liked the author to answer.
1. Has Cain educated himself on using knives and the other medical instruments?
2. How much was the check the church gave him after the priest's murder? Did it cover the costs of renovating his high tech chapel? His soul coffin?

Not my cup of tea. It feels very disjointed, and more intensely focused on the blood play. The entire book reads like an ode to the experience/kink, which again isn't my cup of tea so...

I received this book as an ARC for review. *****Trigger Warning****
Ruin is a page-turning psychological thrill! Phoenix and Cain are complicated characters and Taylor Rose wrote them well. Phoenix and Cain are both strong troubled characters, and when they come together- whew! There are moments which may be triggering. On the other side of those moments are amazing characters and thrills.
This book drew me in from the beginning and kept me on an emotional rollercoaster! I felt every emotion right along with Phoenix and Cain. Taylor Rose wrote this so well I can still visualize each character and the locations. This is not my typical read, but now I can't wait to read Taylor Rose's next dark psychological romance book!

This is an ARC review…I was given a early copy to read and review and happy to announce this book will not disappoint in any way.

Cain and Phoenix are meant for each other and I can’t wait to what happens with them and the others. Two broken souls find something special. I have read dark romance and this was not bad, I sometimes cringed at some parts but I could not put this book down, like I had to finish it! Phoenix best friend Quin is hilarious for sure everyone should have a friend like that!

Now Mrs. Rose I am ready for the next book like yesterday

I need more stars to give

The alter ego of Kenya Wright and she did not disappoint. Cain is dark crazy and a psycho. The things he does…. Wow!!! I need to know more about him. Phoenix strength and loyalty is what Cain likes about her. I so can’t wait for the next book.

Not my cup of tea.
MAN!!!! This story was just too dark for my taste. Cain and Phoenix are some messed up people in the head. The things they experienced in their youth, molded them into the adults they were. Cain had to change his focus on his life when his parents died. Phoenix's mother turned on her when she told her what was happening to her, causing Phoenix to go into self-preservation mode and run away to live on the streets. Neither Cain nor Phoenix expected to find love to cool their darkness. Cain welcomed the love but Phoenix..... not so much.

This story was a long detailed tale about how a man who turned his back on God and his journey through darkness to find love. His love interest had dark tales of her own. She missed the love and safety of her mother but knew that was gone. Now, this man wants to give her what she's been missing in her life.

This was my first read by this author. "Ruin" was the only book recommended by Facebook's BWSL's 2022 list that I did not like. Besides that, I HATE cliffhangers! There was just too much unsettled in this story and with my preferences, I don't see myself reading any more from this series.
