This was a great read and a must have for everyone. You just don't have to be a leader this helps even in being a better co-worker.

The principles were interesting and helpful (although I feel like I still need to get my head better around them). The writing was absolute rubbish, patronising and like a very bad holiday read.

Informative but easy to read book on how to become open to change and to the people around us, and the positive effect that has on our work, our families, and our lives

This is the kind of book that has the potential to save relationships, teams and resolve conflicts if taken to heart, but I suspect most who read it feel a brief surge of inspiration (the same you feel after a one day leadership course of some description).

I see several ways this book can impact my relationship with my colleagues at work and even my personal relationships if I take the ideas to heart.

The book is told almost like a fable and would have been a better book with more examples from the main character actually testing out his new knowledge in the workplace.

Readers who are accustomed to reading philosophy or other complex non-fiction books might find the didactic tone in the book troublesome.

This is a must read because the message is transformative. It's not new but the telling was effective for me. The book covers honoring commitments, viewing people and being aware. If I think of people as objects/obstacles I make up negative stories about them, positive stories about me and these push me farther from goals. The change in outlook makes it easier for me to deal with situations and people by dropping the self aggrandizing stories.
