THE RISE OF AEON NOUS by Tony Teora

Shu, Andy, and Himiko are 12-year-old best friends who are all pretty smart, each in their own way. They live in the Utopian village of Julian. They are all three studying for the Illumination test, it was kept shrouded in mystery, so anyone prepping to take the test didn't know what was coming. The children all have childish nicknames, That seemed useless to the story.

Even though the book is centered around pre-pubescent teens, the original story appeals to adults as well as teens. I felt that it had some "unputdownable" parts, but there were several parts that I seriously didn't care for. Because even in this futuristic tale, the author felt the need to badmouth our 45th President of the United States, former President Donald Trump. There was no reason to stick that part into the book and greatly detracted from my enjoyment of it.

I received a complimentary copy of #theriseofaeonnous from #netgalley I was under no obligation to post a review.
