I love the world of The Hollows, but things are getting predictable. The last 50 pages were the most interesting part of the book. This one felt like a retelling of an earlier book in the series.

I love them all. Really, I loved travelling with Rachel through the realities and the many things that happened... Kim Harrison writes really captivating and it is easy to go with the flow (even with some repetitive stuff I could do without. But then I am cursed with a good memory for those things...). I reread some of them and will maybe do again.
But
I would have preferred that first ending of 'The witch with no name' with Al in Hollywood and the girl marrying and Rachel and Trent living their happy ending and so on. That ending had given me peace, and so I prefer to do what my daughter proposed:
"Just believe that first ending and take those new tomes as a dream, Mum."
I will.
But
Spoiler
But why this end? Please explain, why? I could see this as the last tome... and be okay with it. But the last sentence just pissed me off. Why? Unnecessary. Hrmpf....I would have preferred that first ending of 'The witch with no name' with Al in Hollywood and the girl marrying and Rachel and Trent living their happy ending and so on.
