I can not speak coherently about this book - I’ve never read anything like it. It was beautiful and ugly, tender and a gut-punch, happy and sad tears throughout. Saying it’s a once in a lifetime book seems a bit grandiose, but it has definitely attached itself to my soul like no other book I can remember.
