Not bad but it was a little too... ‘neat’ for me? It ties up with
SpoilerHim moving to the Chicago team and her being pregnant
and all their drama was over in 2.5 seconds (I know it’s a short book but it was over so quick). For a model that thought about body inclusivity etc she was quite self conscious of her body, whenever he picked her up she was like woah I’m so big he is super strong and thinking of her body in terms of how much she weighed? It also felt a little like an Ashley Graham fan fiction lol she’s literally “the first woman who wasn’t a negative size four to be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimwear Issue?” She’s also a size 16 which came up when I googled ‘first plus size model for sports illustrated’. Anyway, the other problem I had was him thinking about how he grew up wanking to pictures of her in magazines? “During college, he’d had a picture of her inside his locker. She had helped him pass many a lonely night and last night she’d done it again.” THATS SO GROSS. Whether it’s realistic or not, I don’t think I could date someone who (as an ADULT not kid since he said college) was wanking to pictures of me MULTIPLE times? Is that NEVER going to come up? She probably thinks it comes with the job but to date someone who did it? Yikes.

An average erotica story with a dash of romance.

Insta-lust, insta-love, quick read. Addy’s size is talked about - positively - constantly. Yay body positivity, but it got tiring hearing about it over and over, while we only heard about Ford’s large stature a couple of times.

This was an enjoyable, entertaining, hot and easy to read novella. That drew me in from the very first chapter and kept me engaged throughout. Both main characters Addy and Ford were really likable, shared a spark and I have to say I really loved their first interaction on the hotel balcony. As I thought it was an interesting, unusual yet clever way to introduce these characters to each other and it certainly set the standard for hot moments throughout this novella. I also thought this was a great intro to Kate Meader's new Hockey Series featuring the Rebels . Which I'm really looking forward to reading.

Another Kindle freebie find. I am always on the lookout for new hockey books and this one wasn't a bad find.

Addison & Ford don't meet in the typical kind of way. Nope, they meet because Ford eavesdrops on her get-together with friends in her hotel room. Feeling a little dangerous, both Ford and Addison find some spoken naughtiness on the balconies of each others room - never actually getting a glimpse at each other. But Ford is determined to find this mystery woman, but he isn't prepared when he discovers that Addison is his bosses ex-wife.

Uh-oh

While this doesn't stop Ford, it give Addison pause and she pulls away. I really liked Ford's tenacity even though I will admit he came on a little strong at times. I also liked that Addison was a full-figured woman who designed her own line of lingerie. Go girl!

Since this was the opening novella to a series, it was just a little glimpse of the characters I'm assuming we'll meet. I'm not sure who the first book is actually about, but color me intrigued by the story. I just wonder if there will be actual hockey representation or if the author will just skim by as she does here.

I was so very excited about everything I was reading. This was incredibly fun, sexy, and entertaining! An excellent introduction to a new series. Loved it all!

The story started off so flirty and hot! I loved Addy and Ford. That first meeting and their connection and chemistry was off the charts! I love how they meet, how Ford moved them forward and how their relationship is explosive right from the start. Addy was a fantastic character. I love that Kate Meader always writes such a strong heroine. Addy was bold, confident, and secure in who she was. Ford was so sweet, and I loved the fact that he didn't play games. There are a few complications in their relationship, some ups and downs, and I enjoyed every second of them getting to their happily ever after.

Besides the fun and sexy, there's a bit of emotion thanks to some drama Addy and Ford encounter and also because of Ford’s backstory. I love how everything played out, some really touching moments came out of it.

This might be a novella but it was very much a full story. The writing is great with excellent details that pulled me in. I love all the characters that were introduced and the hints of foreshadowing of what might come in the first full book in the series, Irresistible You. The way things were laid out got me excited where everything could go. I am thrilled for this new series to release.

In short, this was awesome. I loved the witty and engaging characters, I felt they had depth and a good back story. I loved Addy and Ford’s relationship, how everything was laid out, and thought it had a good pace. Solid beginning, middle an end.

Can’t wait for more. Bring on the Chicago Rebels!
