Estoy entre un 2.5 y 3. Estuvo bien, la verdad me pareció bastante lento en algunas partes pero definitivamente voy a seguir leyendo la saga porque me interesan los hermanos que siguen

This book broke my heart to pieces and put it back together. I freaking loved it so much!!

Asher and Grace had a pretty tragic story. I love them to pieces but how they had to fight against so many odds to get back together, it literally broke my heart. I have such a soft spot for Asher, he had to start from zero, get to know all of his siblings again and honestly I could see how much all the brothers changed, I can’t imagine how hard it must have been for him. I really just wanna hug Grace rn she was such a strong character and the way she had so much faith in Asher and their relationship, I love that girl!!

Also the way this was such a slow burn, omg. The tension every time Asher and Grace were in the same room made me wanna rip my hair out. I was screaming by the time they decided they seriously were it for each other.

I can’t wait to read the other brothers’ books and see what’s in store for them.

Should have been combined with book #1. Read so that I would have back story for book #3 but honestly I wish I had just skipped 1 and 2

This book broke and healed my heart

I knew reading about Asher's experience was going to be hard but wow, it was brutal! I'm glad that was addressed though and I'm glad we also got to see Grace's side of it. It was also interesting to read how Grace had ignored her own trauma, choosing to focus on Asher.

It was hard reading about all of their issues, their frustrations and their pain but I'm so happy that they found their way back to each other.❤️

This is the follow-up to [b:Protecting You|46020086|Protecting You (Bailey Brothers, #1)|Claire Kingsley|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1588276107l/46020086._SY75_.jpg|70900985], the story of Asher and Grace.

Asher is suddenly released from prison a year early. In all that time he hasn’t kept in touch with Grace, so he’s surprised to find out she’s still wearing his engagement ring. But he’s a different man than he was, and he fights his love for her. He tells her they can’t be together. Until he gives in. I practically cheered when he did. Anyway, in spite of Asher’s misgivings, Grace asks him for the summer. Just like Asher did the first time around. They could see where they stood at the end of the summer.
***
This is a very heart-wrenching book. Asher is dealing with transitioning to being out of prison, and not knowing what to do with the aggression that kept him alive in prison. He constantly has the urge to fight. And now that he can no longer be a firefighter, he feels that he has no direction.

But I digress. It’s an emotional book full of ups and downs. Logan, Gavin, Cara, and Cooper Miles provide comic relief, but keep the tissues handy. Thank goodness for happy endings.

Logan and Cara are constantly at each other’s throats. My bet is that they’ll be getting their own book. But in the meantime we have gruff, enigmatic Evan’s book to look forward to.
