If someone wronged you or your family, how would you get revenge? Key their car? Throw a brick through their window? Maybe even post some dog poo through their letterbox? Or you could try Travis Tuckton's and his Grandpap's method of drilling a hole into their head and erm...having your way with it.

The book wasn't as over the top and effed up as I thought it was going to be, but it had it's moments. The image it put into my head of Travis holding up footless Grandpap while he rapes a corpse's head is going to be stuck in there for a while.

It was funny, and a quick, easy read. And as I've come to expect from Edward Lee, his writing is top notch, which is what separates him from a lot of writers who write this sort of stuff. He knows how to write characters and there's always rhyme and reason to everything that happens.

My only complaint is that the end seemed a little rushed and it could have been a little bit longer. But I believe there are two sequels, and I can guess that they will be twice as mental as this one, so I look forward to reading them.

It's been out for a while, this book, and I'm glad I've finally read it. 4 stars right to the face! Now, that time this lad from school chased me around the park with his mates trying to beat me up...I never got revenge for that. Hmmmm.

After reading horror for many years I'd heard many people mention this book as one that just had to be read. Well now that it has been made more widely available I was able to give it a go and see what all of the fuss was about.

It's hard to describe what happens within the book without giving away for a "Header" is, and that is something which should only be found out from reading the book. But I can say it has to be one of the more brutal and twisted way of getting revenge or killing someone that I have heard of. Despite the main focus of the book being on this "Header" there is also a story of love and devotion alongside it which helps the story to move along as a good pace; and it is a wonder that the author can fit so much into the story without harming it.

If you like other stories from Edward Lee, or would like a quick read which will shock you then this would be one of the best book you could buy.

The novel was received in exchange for an honest review.

Sick, twisted, depraved, and a fantastic read. Lee's mind puked out this vile story in a way that drills into your brain and just stays there. I couldn't stop reading it, and then that ending with a final thrust of depravity.

Wow, a lot can happen in 85 pages. This book is disgusting in the most ridiculous way. The action is fast, the pace is lighting speed and if your not completely revolted by the description of hillbillies committing "Headers" you will laugh your ass off. I like that Lee could write such a juvenile book with a great twist. I really did not see the end of this story coming. I may have enjoyed this book even more if they had been straight up and called it *SPOILER* "Head Humpers."
