I would have liked this more had they not been teenagers bc that's just kind of uncomfortable, but this was to get me out of a slump bc wow. Overall, I loved the main characters' dynamic and the push and pull between them and how despite it they didn't really fight their feelings for the most part.

When Logan’s dad remarries, she is forced to, not only, move to the swanky gated community the next town over, but also begin attending the private school where labels rule. The cherry on top of the shït sundae is her new stepbrother, Carson, the star quarterback.

The Star is the angsty coming-of-age, forbidden love story between Logan and Carson.

Deliciously taboo and sizzling hawt! The Star is my first read by Rosie Alice and it surely won’t be last. I loved the plot, the characters and I even loved the setting. It never got repetitive or boring and I dreaded the ending so it definitely goes to my read at least once a year pile❤️

“Were you planning on asking me to be your girlfriend, Carson?”
“I don’t ask for things that are already mine.”

After watching my newest obsession, Culpa Mia (My Fault), I was CRAVING a high angst and a high spice level step-sibling romance. Rosie brought that and MORE with The Star. I'm so excited for more stories in this series!!!

Logan and Carson

After reading this book I’m so excited for Levi’s and Hayden’s stories and I’m sure seeing both Logan and Carson again! Was almost expecting more drama but it was perfect, not a lot of yelling that they should talk it out, it was just easy and I loved it!

Logan’s life has been flipped upside down. She is being taken from the poor side of the tracks and is thrust into the world of the upper class. Along with having to move into a new house and start a new school, she now has a soon to be new step brother. Carson loves his mom and is excited that she is having her boyfriend move in with them, what he wasn’t expecting was him to have a daughter and one that he seems obsessed with as much as Logan. He is determined to ignore his feelings and torture her so she leaves his school. The thing about Logan is, she doesn’t give up easily and will take Carson down with her. This is a step brother romance with some bully aspects. I enjoyed this book but found Logan’s character to start diminishing as the story continued. The spice was hot which is probably what kept my interest. Overall, I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to someone starting out in the dark romance/taboo books.

The FMC acted so juvenile and there was ZERO chemistry.
