Much more engaging than the last two volumes - the lunch fight sequence was excellent. And yet, so many unanswered questions. What about Kenton's mother? What was the point of the Mastrell's Path in the first volume?
Aarik's back story literally makes no sense, but at least he was fun for most of the volume.
Most of the plot twists were predictable, but a trope well done can be enjoyed.
