The writing style is nice, though there is very little dialogue and that usually bothers me.
CWs: the n word and g word are used in the text!

This is probably my favorite classic that I’ve read. It is so different from anything I’ve ever read and I love it. This novel is so descriptive, especially when detailing smell and the process of perfume making, and I was surprisingly invested in it! Grenouille as a character is super interesting and unique and just a wonder to read about. I love this book, it is a ridiculous ride and definitely one of my new favorites!

An olfactory wonder! If you don't like prose-heavy text, with little character development, this may not be for you, though the plot is quite gripping. Dark, misanthropic, and as beautiful as it is horrible.
Edit: however, I'm tired of seeing the "disfigurement as a sign of evil" trope.
