Sheila Tao is a college professor, who is engaged to Morris, an ex pro football player turned high stakes banker. It seems that she has a picture perfect life. However, Sheila has a seedy past and has been sleeping with her TA, Ethan (who is also in a long term relationship), for a few months.

Once Morris proposes to her, Sheila decides itā€™s best to end things with Ethan. Feeling a bit scorned and jealous, Ethan develops a plan to take what he thinks is his. After all, if he canā€™t have Sheila, no one can.

I canā€™t recommend Jennifer Hillier enough! Iā€™m never disappointed when I read her books. Creep is now added to that list. It was captivating and had me thinking about it when I wasnā€™t reading. I figured out the twist about half way through but I really enjoyed reading the backstory that supported said twist.Ā
There were a few times that I wanted to scream, ā€œWHAT ARE YOU DOING!?ā€ at Sheila because some of her choices were just *facepalm.* I could overlook that though. I definitely would recommend this for all of my thriller reading people.Ā

ā€¢ This book was a WILD ride. As the title suggests, itā€™s very creepy. After reading jar of hearts a couple of months ago, Iā€™ve been dying to read @jenniferhillierbooks ā€˜s entire backlist because literally all her books sound amazing.Ā

ā€¢ Just like jar of hearts, I was hooked right from the start and couldnā€™t put it down!Ā

ā€¢ Thereā€™s so much tension and suspense that itā€™s pretty much impossible to not read till the end to know what happens.Ā

ā€¢ Itā€™s narrated in third person, which I surprisingly liked and it switched to different characters which added a lot to the story.Ā

ā€¢ Also, something I really appreciated about this book was how fast paced it was and how it keeps you entertained without dragging out obvious plot points. I find that with some other thrillers, the obvious twists would be dragged out till the end. While with this book, everything felt balanced. It gets straight to the point without getting boring.Ā

ā€¢ Throughout the book, I was a bit disappointed that it wasnā€™t dropping little twists here and there like jar of hearts, however, the ending made up for that 100%. I was literally in SHOCK. I did not see that plot twist coming it was just so unexpected and it took me a while to process it.Ā

ā€¢ Thereā€™s a sequel called Freak that Iā€™ll have to read sometime soon because I felt like there were a few unanswered questions!Ā

ā€¢ Iā€™d highly recommend this to any thriller lovers (check trigger warnings though) and I canā€™t wait to read the rest of this authorā€™s books!!!Ā
