I started listening to this on audio and then got the ebook because I needed to binge it.

This book was really good. I loved the way the details came together and how it leads to the end. Epilogue was too short but still creepy

This was quite good. It was smart, exciting, and had a fun believable twist.

Professor has been cheating on her boyfriend with her TA; she gets engaged to bf and dumps the TA, breaks things off and tries to move him to another professor. He blackmails her and is a sociopath, she is working through how to handle. I don't want to give any spoilers away, but this TA is totally psychotic and deranged, which is no secret from the beginning, and her fiance is the most likable, sweet, supportive, full-figured man I've read about in a long time. This is the perfect setup for book 2 where the story has even more to it than we thought...

I am a big fan of Jennifer hillier and find her books to be thrilling and entertaining. This one, however, just didn’t quite hit the same. This was her first novel and I think it’s fair to say it reads that way.
It’s far longer than it needs to be, the twist was given away way too early, I hated Dr Tao and some elements just felt like too much of a stretch.
I’m unsure whether I’ll read the follow up to this…
