Paige Rodgers survived a covert mission and was forced to go into hiding.

She lands in the small close-knit community of Split Creek, Oklahoma. She's been there seven years and is the local librarian.

Paige doesn't want to be involved in any realtionships. She's been betrayed and it's not worth risking her heart again.

But enter Miles, the town's football coach. She is attracted to him and he wants to take their realtionship to the next level. But will she open up and trust him. She just wants to stay the town's unattatched librarian.

But forces threaten to bring her out of the shadows and into the world she left behind. And this time she may not survive.

I loved the notion of a CIA agent living in a small town. The book is a fun read and definitely one I recommend.

Another freebie on my Kindle that I really enjoyed! This was my first book by this author but I hope to read more. Very similar to such authors as Dee Henderson, Irene Hannon, etc. This one revolved around a former CIA agent who is hiding out in a small town in Oklahoma, as the librarian. Her former CIA boss is now a civilian and running for governor in Oklahoma, but Paige knows a secret that could keep him from being elected, and makes her a target. Very good book, I really enjoyed it :)

I couldn't get into this book at all. It was very slow-moving. It wasn't so much that the author was building up background, but the whole plot line was slow. There was no background build-up that I'm used to seeing in books that take a while to get good.

A refreshing and entertaining read. I was intrigued by the aspect of a CIA operative grappling with her job and her Christianity. The romance storyline was a bonus!
