2024- The potential energy that grows throughout this novel has skyrocketed my anticipation for the culmination of its series. Unlike a filler episode of television, Age of Legend is rife with its own moments that carry an emotional impact. I found the high-octane combat of the Techylors fun to read but it was the intimate moments between the characters that resonated most. The evolution of Roan and Gifford’s relationship, Raithe questioning “Even now?”, and the final dialogue between Tesh and Brin I found to be absolutely moving. Finally, I would be remiss to not give kudos to the introductory Author’s Note and Afterword which both provide an insightful look into the creation of this novel and the publishing world in general.

Onward with the Michael J. Sullivan Buddy Read over at Epic Fantasy Books

Raithe still breaks my heart, even now.

"Legends of the First Extremely Boring Empire" finally gets a small hint of interesting. Too bad it's too little and too late. Characters and dialogue remain terrible as ever.
