1.5. Hrm. Not only did I not like this one, I felt like it actively took away from its companion novel, so... that's not good. Hades' motivation became a lot less interesting now that we know that he already knew Persephone was woven into his Fate as his future wife from the very beginning. That.... absolutely sucks ass and makes everything he does matter so much less. And Persephone came off as naive, fickle, and kind of childish (in a really gross way that highlighted the age difference) and it had more of a dudebro vibe with the way it hit that Persephone was a virgin and 'untouched.' Cringe. This book was cringe.

I loved this exponentially more than the Persephone perspective.
"Fucking Fates" will be one of my favourite sayings going forward.
I devoured this book.

The Hades version of a Touch of Darkness - because you don’t get the annoying Persephone perspectives.

A better read than a Touch of Darkness and there elements of banter that’s enjoyable but nothing new or value adding to the plot imo.

3.9 ⭐️ it has been a while since i read something in this series though it had been a favorite when i started. Sure it was fun to go back into this universe but since it had been awhile I noticed my taste in books has drastically changed. I still enjoyed the book but it is not my favorite
