I love this modern twist on Greek myths. This spiciness is great too but honestly I love reading the political drama between the Gods.

Knowing Hades’s pov added to the appreciation and enjoyment of A Touch of Darkness, even if he was horny 80% of the time

Hermes is iconic, and Hades’s and Hecate’s friendship is adorable

but the audiobook narrator is horrendous, it’s like Siri had a baby with ai, he did Hades so dirty

I think I like this book better than A Touch of Darkness because the character of Hades is so dark and complex. It’s interesting to get this backstory of what Hades had to deal with when he was not with Persephone, a plot that was not explained in the other book. It’s definitely not a great work of literature by any means, but it is a great distraction and a guilty pleasure.

This is Book 2 of the A Touch of Darkness Series, first book in the Hades Saga. I like how similar Hades’ thoughts are to Persephone’s in their conjoined scenes. Compared to A Touch of Darkness, Persephone seems more bold and confident here. I also like how Hecate and Hermes show up more! Hecate is the mother both Persephone and Hades needed.

I really enjoyed Hades POV. Made Persephone a little better. Hecate and Hermes are my faves. They’re witty and funny and awesome. I do feel like Hades is a bit of a cornball and sometimes thinks of nothing but sex but overall enjoyable
