Everything Emily Rath does is pure gold! I loved Bear & Silas so much. The two of them together was so cute & so pure & so hot! I did the audiobook & loved the narrators Diontae Black & Tor Thom! I also love that all of Ruth's book always has a cute dog who is very important to the story! I especially loved how every piece of this story was wrapped up perfectly at the end. There was a lot going on in this book & Rath didn't miss a beat at the end.

It was a great alpha/omega book (where mpreg exists but the omega doesn't get pregnant) and I really enjoyed this one. Despite some dark themes, the story was more about healing, survival and ultimately happiness.

Trigger Warning/Content Warning:
sex trafficking, forced drug use, flashbacks and mentions of past sexual assaults, character suffers from PTSD and experiences several active symptoms, descriptive sex scenes with knotting, brief mention of MPreg, use of firearms, cinematic violence (a deadly car crash, gunshot wounds, blood, death), parent death (off page), vomiting (no description).

I have been putting this book off for a long time. I loved reading Pucking Around earlier this year by Rath. I’ve become obsessed with omegaverses this year, so I was curious about this combination, but I was also really nervous. Plus, what if this is like the omegaverse of all omegaverses! I don’t think she will write another one anytime soon because she’s really wrapped up in her hockey world era. I just don’t know what to do, so the pressure was just too much, and it’s been sitting on my Kindle, just staring at me. But I was determined to read this thing before LIT. Honestly, by the time I sat down and picked this one up, I was at the very end of it, so I had no choice but to read it, which ended up being the push I needed. I liked this one, even though this pack has only 2 members. We have Bear and Silas. These two have both been through a lot, especially Silas. Silas has been through so much since he finally runs into Bear, but I love his determination to protect him no matter what. It is on the slow burn side, especially for an omegaverse. It was also an interesting take on Omegaverse since it was just MM; I’m just so used to it being 3 or more people plus the omega. But this one deals with some hefty content, and I wish we got to see a little bit more in the end regarding the people who have been trying to get to Silas since the beginning of the book.

one of the best captivating books ive read. the romance was not only there, i could feel it; it was a wholesome experience bc its not always that something I read gives me butterflies and twinges my heart like these words between Bear and Silas.

Their dynamic.. 💯 im so serious, if men were like bear… wowowowowow world domination, we would be SALIVATING lmao, and the way he begs??? Bear, you have won my heart ❤️ they way he cares for Silas, the way he protects him, the way he puts his needs before his own… 😳

this book was perfection, the spicy scenes were giving spice, and, i repeat, the begging?!!! I LOVE WHEN ALPHA MALES BEG? LIKE YES, SAY PLEASE AND BEG ME TO KISS U IDC 😂

i liked that they didnt go the typical “bad guy kidnaps omega and alpha needs to go rescue him” so it was a refresher to see a third act where the villains DONT kidnap, they always seem to kidnap 💀
