As 101 books go, I loved this book. It was easy to read, easy to understand, open, and honest. Lots of 101’s go over this material in much more detail, but Ms. Diaz’s makes it a comfortable read and less like a manual. She sprinkles in some of her experiences and despite being almost pocket-sized and not very long when you take into account the size of pages and the way things are spaced out, she manages to produce a very well laid out and through 101 that anyone interested in magick and witchcraft can follow along and enjoy.
Overall this is a great 101 for anyone, even an experienced witch to have. It’s definitely going on my recommended reading list.

In the beginning I felt the book was overtly positive to the point it was hard for me to stomach. Nature loving is fine but it felt like it was the only way to be a Witch was too embrace Mother Earth.
I did not like that it felt the author was imposing their vegan practices into the book 'cut down your consumption of meat and dairy, whose production uses a much greater percentage of agricultual resources than their nutritional worth deserves', so is she a certified dietician to give this advice?
A lot of menstrial blood... A LOT. Also uses 'she/her' pronouns for the term Witch, when anyone can be a Witch regardless of gender so its not inclusive at all.
However her spells look simple and straight forward however, I have no idea how accessible some of the ingredients will be for me to obtain.

I love this book. It's the witchcraft book I was always looking for years ago. Great for beginners in any type of practice. Great for anyone really. I have already done some workings from it and will be referencing it frequently in the future.
