The fun of the first book was the relationship between Don and Rosie. What's the fun when they're aren't together in much of the novel. The story was too wacky and unbelievable at times. I know it's fiction, but it wasn't nearly as enjoyable as the first. Oh well.

It was more fun meeting Don Tillman than rejoining his story in progress.

The humor seemed forced, and by the end, I was exhausted by Don and his habits.

Two and a half stars.

Not as enjoyable as The Rosie Project. I felt it went everywhere a bit and was often a bit too out there. And easy read though, and a good palate cleanser.

While cute, this was no where as good as The Rosie Project. I might listen to it on audio when it's available (I read this as an ARC) as I love the narrator. Still, it was a fun read.

Reminded me of what it would be like to live with Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang theory.

2 and 1/2 stars. I did still enjoy the book, but mostly because of Don. The Rosie Project had better structure for the plot with the father project than The Rosie Effect, which was more aimless. Some of the situations he gets himself in were just really hard to believe, especially the ongoing story with the social worker. Also, what happened to Rosie? She was super irrational in the book. It was like watch them fall in love and then in the sequel, watch them fall apart. Rosie learns the same lesson in both books, which is not good. I did enjoy a lot of the Rosie Effect, but it was basically an unnecessary sequel.

I am so glad I was allowed to read this wonderfully well written laugh out loud book because it was great being back with Don and Rosie again.
All the characters and the world building in this book were well written and it was interesting to see how Don and Rosie dealt with the prospect of parenthood. The relationships between the characters were really well written and beleivaable, and some of the lines from different characters at times had me laughing out loud.
In conclusion I have given this book a 4 out of 5 star rating due to all the things mentioned above and I would/will highly recoomend this book to others as well as gift it to anyone I think may enjoy it.
