This is a fun audiodrama but mostly because Peter Davidson takes up his role again as the 5th Doctor and we have Nissa as well in there. There's also some layers to the plot that really bring to mind this older era story and that was fun.

The Doctor, Nissa, and Nissa's governess Hannah, all appear to be in 18th century France...but they aren't quite sure how they got there or sometimes even who they are. This one brings to mind bits of the 10th doctor episode Girl in the Fireplace but also has future-tech and something called Shadowspace and "The Steamroller Man". Although I was not a fan of the Steamroller Man's "poems" because they were eye-rolling horrible, the monster and world and layers of reality definitely felt like a 5th doctor episode so it was like going back in time and listening to an okay (but not great) old episode from the classic series.
