This was a beautiful end to the trilogy. It was more about the female protagonist than the male whose family's love life is the center of the series, BUT it was written impeccably. Interlacing Quan's trials with Anna's battles was such a perfect way to tell this story. I felt more for this book than any of the others. I suspect it's because I'm invested in the series, and I can identify with so much of this story.
I would recommend this entire series to anyone. There are so many nuggets and bits of information that could help the non neurodivergent understand those who are. Or at least identify traits if they dared pay attention. Helen, you are awesome. You are seen. You are heard. You are loved. I appreciate your existence and your words.

This was a cute and fun easy read! I appreciated the addressing of important topics being more in the forefront rather than the romance. I love Helen Hoang’s characters. I was rooting for them the entire time! I enjoyed this ending to the group of books and I will definitely be reading more of this author!

This was so much more than the fun romance novel I expected when I first picked it up. I really enjoyed The Kiss Quotient and The Bride Test, and both explored unique characters on the autism spectrum I haven’t encountered in other contemporary romance novels before, but this novel took that to the next level. I think Helen Hoang did a great job with diving deep into Anna’s character and how she overcame her struggles, I felt like I learned something after reading this.

Having ASD meant I heard some of me in this story. While the spectrum is so wide, there were things that I deal with daily in this story. I am appreciative of feeling represented in a love story as it doesn’t happen often.

3.5 stars—an equally refreshing and upsetting romance novel with the two MCs as neurodivergent/chronically ill. it was pretty brutal at times, but also I liked how it didn’t follow the typical plot structure of a romance novel. some sweet & fun moments as well

Quan! I saw this one coming (or else I was really hoping for it). However, I kind of disagree with the plot here. One. You did not have to give him cancer dammit. Two. The only person that was going to accept him did not have to be autistic. Yes, I understand that that is what this book series is about, but I don't have to like it. Third. She said she was going to marry another man and he still went back? He got way too much shit. In the end he was happy, so I can't be too mad. But I'm also not that happy. I like that characters from previous books coming back.

Look. Did this book win the Nobel Prize for Literature? No. Did it create deeply nuanced characters and cover issues such as mental health, body image, and psychological burnout? Was it deliciously spicy? And did it have me turning pages faster than the speed of light?
Sure did. 4.5 hot pink stars.
