I remembered most of it. I felt really bad for Nobby and Pongo even this time around, which means Enid Blyton does write pretty well.
Although, one thing that has started bothering me, is where when George wants to be addressed as a boy, and people are trying to tease her, they put down girls by saying that George is a crybaby, or a blabbermouth or something? It's very weird for me to say oh hey potential trans canoning but at the expense of them putting down women. IDK

I deducted a point for that annoying af ape. Honestly kinda fun adventure, kinda lacking idk. I loved the vibes of the Five camping and all but the adventure seemed to be a bit quick and like I said, Pongo annoyed me. Maybe a little less than the last time I read the book.

Surprisingly great adventure for the Famous Five. This story contains everything that makes the Famous Five series wholesome - great food, lovely adventure, the goodness of children and how extraordinarily intelligent and loyal animals can be. Loved it ❤️
Moderate: Animal cruelty and Child abuse
