I absolutely loved Ashby and Trent's book. I don't want to say it's the best so far because I loved the other books just as much, but there is something about how both Trent and Ashby changed over the course of the book that had me reading it in one sitting.

This is a very remote chance meeting between the two main protagonists. Trent is a movie star whose life has slowly gone out of control for the past couple years and is ordered, by his manager, to go home to Wyoming and straighten his life out until his next project starts. Ashby is flying to Wyoming because he needs to get away from London after finding his boyfriend cheating on him.

I loved both of these men when I first met them, but as their story develops, there is something special that makes you want the story to never end. Everything about their journey makes you love the two more. I don't want to give any part of the story away, but I truly believe that all romance readers need to read this book.

Steam does live up to its name, but it's how Trent and Ashby fall in love that is completely worth the journey. I truly can't wait to read this one again. And probably the other ones now that I think about it. Steam is Highly Recommended!!

You absolutely owned me with this book!

What a fantastic story on multiple levels. Running away from broken hearts, troubled pasts and presents. Expecting to find closure and the ability to move on, only to have that dream become more than they ever could have imagined. I fell in love with Ashby from the get go and his ability to be true to himself.

This is the 4th book in the Homecoming Hearts series. This one centers on TJ, the straight, bad boy of the group.

TJ (Trent), has yet another run in with a paparazzi and his manager sends him out of town to get his head straight and to make amends with his father. When he arrives at the run down resort in Wyoming where his father works and his mother died he meets Ashby. Ashby is British and is on holiday in America after a breakup with his boyfriend of two years who cheated on him. He’s trying to get his head together and figure out who he is and what he wants.

The story is sweet and a voyage of discovery. As Trent and Ashby grow closer, and with some help from his former bandmates, Trent takes a chance with Ashby and discovers he’s not as straight as he thought he was.

This book presents a thoughtful and non-preachy examination of gender and sexuality. There’s some great and clear explanations that don’t come across as lectures or as soap box time (which I find a lot of gender related stories seem to do.) I felt like I understood the MCs and that I gained a greater insight into how people look at as well as present gender.

We get the three of the other Below Zero members who have been the subjects of books 1-3, and their partners, in this book as they gather for Blake and Elion’s wedding. The one member of Below Zero left who we have not met, Reyse, makes a brief but strange appearance in this book. Obviously the mysterious 5th member of the band who we have heard only a little about will be the subject of book five.

The requisite bad guys were slime that you just wanted to really see get their comeuppance. They don’t really which is a bit of a bummer but also realistic I guess. There are some story inconsistencies which had me talking back to the book and took my head out of the story as I argued with what was on page but overall it is an enjoyable story that happens to dish out a little education.
